[THIS THREAD WILL NECESSARILY CONTAIN SPOILERS. IF YOU DO NOT WANT ANY SPOILERS, PLEASE READ NO FURTHER.]
Hi folks! Here it is, our very first open assignment for artists: Momo & Hussie strife sprite edition. Canon author VS fandom meddler: Whose dream will reign supreme?
This content will go up in August, so that gives us all a bit of time to work on it, and make something really cool.
What this thread is for:
Now, onto the specifics. Momo sprite was actually designed to be 80% the size of a normal sprite, so that she would be able to comfortably fit in the mansion office. So, for this particular thing, the Hussie sprite also has to be 80% of regular size. It would hardly be a fair strife with one opponent towering over the other!
Here you have regular sized Bluebird waving to regular sized Hussie, with regular sized Dad next to him for a more often seen character with "grownup" proportions.
And here is a Hussie I shrunk down to 80% of his normal size, standing next to Momo. This is the size to aim for.
Momo sprite uses 2xpenkind, so two tablet pens like the one seen here (hand drawing a little pixel version is fine, or you can shrink the photo and use that if you want):
Hussie sprite uses broomkind, for our purposes.
Momo will assign more specific tasks as we go on, but to start with, they thought that we could use the following strifes as a jumping off point for expressions/poses/animation.
STRIFE!
Rose: Youth roll right out the front door.
JOHN, SALVAGE YOUR WEAPON AND FIGHT ON!
Dave: STRIFE.
It might also be fun to have sprites get knocked over, Collide style, especially since there is a broom involved. Dave also gets knocked down during his strife, so we might use that as a more easily accessible reference.
I'll be editing this post as needed (I'm sure it will need some corrections/additions along the way), and will probably make a followup reply with more inspirational Hussie and Momo panels.
