Also every week (much like every month on our official tumblr) I'll be making a thread about what got done, what's left to do, and what went wrong (because things Will go wrong) for all the world to see. I can't hide in my mad genius cave and let my ominous cackles resounding off the limestone be your only warning of impending success or failure. Here is the first one, a day early, because that's how we roll.
Just a note that this list represents the accomplishments of the entire team, not just me, though people may not be credited individually.
WEEK ONE;
- Decided to make act 8. Was this a mistake? We'll let history decide.
- Created the Google Doc, Irc, Google Submission Form, and Forums
- Over thirty people have repsonded to this form, by the way!
- Collected two pieces of music for act 8. (TWO! ALREADY!)
- Wrote a complete first draft of act 8 in entirety with no missing scenes. The plot is complete. It just has to be realized in detail.
- Thumbnailed the prologue and act 8 part 1 + parts of act 8 part 2 in my sketchbook, have to be recreated with more clarity in a digital version before I can distribute them to the team.
- Began working on an animatic for the introductory flash to act 8 part 1. I now know how many assets will be needed, I just need to create placeholders that can be sent out to artists.
- Writing. Lots of writing.
- Created first assumptions about due dates for act 8 act 1 materials.
LOOKING AHEAD;
- Assign all visual materials for act 8 act 1 to volunteer artists.
- Draw and finish writing final text for the prologue.
- Decide where to begin hosting the project proper.
- Become more adept in Flash/Animate CC or locate a dedicated Flash/Animate CC team member.
