Alright, silly name aside, I decided to open this thread because I think that we need some people to re-read the whole comic, progressing together, and discuss the facts while we do so. And I don't really know where this would fit, so into the wildcard board it goes.
In my opinion as a revisor, re-reading the comic will be important to fact check everything later, and will help us determine what are the loose points with more clarity. And having a group of people on the task, progressing at a similar pace while discussing the details can lead to new theories of our own and creative solutions to help us reach the ending we all hope for. This is a gigantic comic, so information might be forgotten. I know that we can use the wiki for reference, and that there are many blogs that we can go to to gather information, but re-reading is the best way to figure out the details ourselves, and it can lead to great insights. (Also, it is the source material. Nothing can beat that.)
I don't know how fast we could re-read the whole comic and dissect it properly, but I believe that the effort is worth it. So, if you have the time to join me in this endeavor, speak up, and then we can decide on how we will do this.

That's a great idea! I was planning on doing a re-read of acts 1-5, myself. I don't really have any ideas about the date, but I will stick along for at least that much of the ride.
Since this is a canon facts/fact-checking/wiki-search kind of thing, I might move this thread to the Light sub-board. Would that be okay with you?

I've been meaning to re-read anyway, so if anyone needs me to do a part, I am all kinds of prepared!

Yeah Momo, you can go ahead and move the thread. And I gave the whole idea a little more thought. It is important to register our findings here, but we should have other ways to communicate to keep this thread clean and organized. So I created this msparp.com/act8projectrereadmadness (I know we have the mibbit chat but it's better to have separate one to avoid confusion, and I never really used mibbit that much so idk if there's a log). I was planning to start this today, so if anyone wants to join me, I will be on that chat.

This is a really good idea! I keep meaning to do another full read-through, and then getting distracted. Having what's basically a Homestuck book club to follow along with, and chat to, will help keep me on task.

I've been dragging my feet on a complete reread for ages now! I don't remember something like 90% of the comic, and I really need a good refresher, so I'm definately good for joining in on this!

Oh, feel free to join us, guys!
I've been super fucking sick, so I'm sorry for not updating everyone about the status of our read-through. Bluebird and I already finished ACT 1, but then I got sick and we never had the chance to discuss it. Ash, Bluebird and I are on the chat right now if anyone wants to join us.

Hey, can I join along? I know I'm a little late, but if you can let me know when you're doing the next one, I'm there!

Re-reading update 1:We read through Act 1 and, as expected, there wasn't much to be discussed. It is mainly used to get the reader used to the lingo and the humor. The only thing of notice besides that is the foreshadowing about what actually killed Rose's cat (Colonel Sassacre's book), but that was already addressed in canon. IF YOU WISH TO JOIN US, it was agreed that we have until next monday, May 9th, to read Act 2. Please leave your notes in our chat to guarantee that nothing will be forgotten or overlooked. We may start our discussion before May 9th if everyone involved finishes reading Act 2 earlier, though.

If you are online, now would be a good time to go to our chat to start the discussion.
Note to self: establish a time to start this thing next time, timezones will make things complicated.

I think the Let's Read: Homestuck would help reading go a lot faster for some people.
